Augusta Mariano

Currently based in Los Angeles, Augusta has played numerous roles both on stage and for television.

Augusta’s training includes a B.A. in Theater Performance from San Diego State University as well as a semester with the British American Drama Academy in London, England.

Augusta played Morgan Embry on the show Heels in both seasons one and two on STARZ.

Augusta began her professional acting career with a guest star role on NBC’s My Name is Earl.

FIRE IN A DARK HOUSE

Augusta stars as Rose in the new play Fire in a Dark House.

FIRE IN A DARK HOUSE is a new drama about two star-crossed young lovers, two families, and one small town that are thrown into turmoil as anti-immigrant fervor sweeps the nation during WWI.

Set in 1918, Fire in a Dark House follows Rose, a passionate and independent young immigrant woman, who falls in love with the son of a politically powerful man who is waging a dangerous propaganda campaign against immigrant families, including her own.

Augusta played Rose both in the Los Angeles production at the Whitefire Theater and in the New York staged reading at the Paramount Theater.

Trojan Women

Augusta played Andromache in a production of Euripides’ Trojan Women.

Pygmalion

Augusta played Clara Eynsford Hill in a production of George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion at the Cockpit Theater in London, England.

Blood at the Root

Augusta played Toria in Blood at the Root, a play that explores The Jena Six, six black teenagers in Jena Louisiana, unfairly convicted in the 2006 beating of a white student.
